This 40” hawserlaid rope has a spliced synthetic thimble on one end and an adjustable prusik on the other. It is used as a short tether to attach a climber to an ascender in the “4 to 1 Rescue” taught by Adventure Experiences. Its adjustability allows the rescuer to easily release the loaded ascender before lowering the participant to the ground.
