This 1/2'“ static line is ideal for rappelling, caving, top roping, and life safety applications. The unique filament polyester sheath is balanced with a unidirectional nylon core to limit rotation, bounce and stretch. This rope feature high tensile strength, low stretch, good abrasion resistance and reduced spinning tendencies when used as a single line rappel rope. These ropes are not normally recommended for belaying but are mainly used in rappelling operations and in the challenge course industry.

This size, 1/2” diameter, is also appropriate as a belay line in those situations where minimal stretch is warranted. The larger diameter 1/2" static line creates additional friction between the rope and rappel device, making it a good choice for single-line rappels.
