Gate - Three Options:

Auto Block (AE refers to these as “supersafe”)

Twist Lock (AE refers to these as “autolock”)

Screw Sleeve (AE refers to these as “screwgate”)

Kong’s oval aluminum carabiner with a large opening provides a wide symmetrical shape, greater than that of a classic oval, allowing for better positioning on mobile devices. The AUTO BLOCK sleeve requires 3 movements to open the carabiner (AE considers this a “supersafe”), where as, the TWIST LOCK sleeve requires 2 movements to open the carabiner (AE considers this an “autolock”).

This is the colored (red, auto black/supersafe) carabiner AE uses for the rescue bag and rescue we teach.

Colors:

Auto Block - red, orange, polish, or black

Twist Lock - red, orange, or polish

Screw Sleeve - red, orange, or polish
